I was so inspired by Ross Burbeary & Stephen Gilpin’s efforts last year that I have decided to take part myself this year and commit to:

Running 10km every day throughout November to raise money and awareness for ProstateUK

Andy Young, also of Coventry City FC, will join me in attempting to run each 10km in under 50 minutes. After each daily run, we will post our times on social media using #run10kadayforprostate and tagging @ProstateUK.

We have been training hard since meeting with Ross last month just to improve our chances of coping with the physical demands. Adam enjoys running but at 98kg and an injury history longer than Andy Carroll, has always long distance challenging and Andy was an avid runner in a previous life before becoming a father and fulfilling the ‘Dad Bod’ prophecy. We both know November will be hugely challenging so we need your support to keep us going.

Any donations and/or spreading the word would be greatly appreciated to raise money and awareness for a fantastic charity.

The rules if you’d like to get involved:

1. Commit to taking part. Before the 1st November decide on a personal time limit for every 10k run. It can be anytime you want but you can't change the time once you've started.

2. Stick at it - you've got this!

3. After each daily run, post your time on social media using #run10kadayforprostate and tagging @ProstateUK. This can be from your watch, phone or even a stopwatch time (we trust you!) NO TREADMILL RUNNING ALLOWED.

4. Raise as much money as you can, asking people to donate to this page.

Optional moustaches will be well received!
