Story
In 2010 My Mam, Jeanette Kelly lost her courageous battle with Cancer.
In her final weeks I made her a promise that I'd complete a Great North Run (13.1 miles) and raise money for the lovely MacMillan people who cared for her so well in her final months.
On September 18th 2011 I crossed the finish line in South Shields to keep the most important promise I've ever made.
A large part of my life will never be replaced now that my mam has gone but the least I can do for a lady who taught me so much - in particular the true value of strength and determination is to seek to keep her memory alive, building on the fantastic support in 2011 and do it all again in 2012.
It is on this note that once again I ask for your support in this endeavour as I seek to make a difference once again for families who rely on Macmillan for support.
Thankyou for reading my story.
Miss you mam and rest in peace xx
