We raise awareness about FASD to prevent alcohol related brain damage.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page in memory of our son Andy Wells.

Andy, our wonderful adopted son, died 21st December 2018 of a suspected drugs overdose. Andy’s funeral is on 14 January 2019 and in lieu of flowers we would ask that you consider making a donation via this page to NOFAS.

Andy’s story would be familiar to many parents, he had the usual ups and downs of being a young person in the UK in the 21st century and faced them with a combination of humour, an engaging smile and personality, supporting others and at times argument and awkwardness. What challenged him most though were the aspects of his life linked to his undiagnosed Foetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS). Supporting NOFAS in their work to publicise FAS to professionals and the public and to provide advice and guidance to individuals and their families is one small way in which we can make sense of Andy’s passing, please consider making a donation in his memory.

Linked Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Many thanks

Elaine and Adrian
