Our trio will push themselves to their limits to complete this challenge. The race consists of a 50 mile cycle, a climb to the summit of Helvellyn (2nd highest mountain in the country) and a 3km row on Lake Thirlmere.

Sponsored by LWA Chartered Certified Accountants, we are excited to raise money for Action Medical Research. Setting off at sunrise our aim is to finish before the sun sets! We'll be updating you on our training as the months progress.

The charity has made many amazing breakthroughs since its formation in 1952 and our team are committed to promoting and fundraising to support their work.

Team AFG are racing the sun to help Action Medical Research fund groundbreaking research to help find answers. Answers that can lead to cures, treatments and medical breakthroughs for some of the toughest fights our children face. 

Children like Elijah.Born prematurely at only 25 weeks, Elijah sadly lost his fight for life at just 37 days old. "Elijah led a very traumatic little life. He died sleeping on my chest in the small hours that's when I joined the fight to stop premature birth." - Elijah's mum, Jenny. Jenny's is just one story. 

61,000 babies are born prematurely each year in the UK. Globally it's the biggest killer of children under five.So we've joined the fight. Will you join us and help us reach our fundraising target? Together we can help stop babies being born too soon and fund vital research tackling some of the toughest fights our children face.
