I’m running in this years Glasgow Half Marathon on behalf of the Cats Protection Glasgow Adoption Centre as this is my local centre and it’s also where I adopted my little cat Miranda from back in 2013.
I never thought I would ever get another cat after my beloved cat Hollie passed away suddenly early in 2013 but I took comfort from visiting this centre in my time of grief and Miranda was looking for a new home. She had us at the first lick, the first eye contact and the first meow.
The staff are dedicated to all the cats in their care and even now when I visit I feel one of the family, they always ask how Miranda is doing and I update them with regular photos and videos.
The staff take time to get to know the cats in their care and note their traits, likes and dislikes and only rehome to families and homes that they feel best suit the needs of the cats.
Thank you for taking the time to read the story of why I am running and thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kind donations to the Cats Protection Glasgow Adoption Centre.
