Story

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever.Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.

I lost my beloved gran a couple of years ago after a long battle with Dementia. Witnessing a loved one deteriorating before my eyes is the most heartbreaking thing I have experienced. There is still currently no cure or sufficient treatment for this horrible disease that affects so many across the UK. In special memory of my gran, all of the others who are already affected by this disease and those who could be in the future, I have registered to climb Ben Nevis on 9th July with the Alzheimer's Society.

Having to watch my gran fade away whilst there was nothing I could do to stop it broke my heart. I'd like to raise money to help in the fight against this disease with the hopes that one day, others will be spared from suffering. I would greatly appreciate any donations at all for this amazing charity.

Thank you,

Aimee xx
