Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In 2014 I lost my ‘wee brother,’ my brother-in-law Alistair, to head and neck cancer at only 51. All his family and friends sorely miss him. It was a terrible thing to witness but I felt humbled by the brave, stubborn but stoic way he fought the disease, every step of the way, right to the very end.
Before he died, I talked with him about raising money for the charity researching this rather ‘Cinderella’ cancer so that other might not have to go through what he suffered.
I homed in on a real challenge for me, to cycle from Land’s End to John O’Groats and started training. However, in Dec 2014 I fell off my bike on black ice while training and broke my femur. Not to be recommended! Now two years on I have the medical 'all clear' and will take part in the Deloitte Ride Across Britain (RAB) 2017 in September.
So… can you please pledge your support and help me raise money for this worthy cause?
Many thanks in anticipation of your support
