We are a group of ten runners of varying abilities, coming together to raise money towards finding effective treatments and a cure for this awful muscle wasting disease. The Great North Run will be a big challenge for us all. Team member David has a son, Alex, with Becker Muscular Dystrophy. Apart from decreasing mobility, those that suffer with the various forms of the condition deal with pain and discomfort on a daily basis. Traditional pain killing drugs are not effective at all. Your donations will help the charity find treatments, as well as providing invaluable help, information and support to sufferers and their families.
