Story
September 2015 when Alex was 9 months old, his life and that of his family was changed forever. He was diagnosed with a very rare brain infection HSV1 Encephalitis. Alex miraculously survived, however he sustained significant brain damage and epilepsy caused by the infection. Alex is unable to walk, talk, and suffers seizures on a daily basis. Despite this Alex’s smile and aura can light up a room and he is the jewel in our family crown.
Our aim is to raise funds for Manor Mead Shepperton, which is the special needs school Alex attends on a daily basis. This will enable us to provide more equipment and facilities to enrich the daily life of Alex and all his friends at Manor Mead. The school is amazing and all the staff are extremely supportive and kind. Not only do they take such wonderful care of Alex but also us as a family. We always hand over our little boy knowing he is getting the best care.
As his parents, family & friends all we want is to enable Alex to live his best life. He has been through so much in his short life and still has many hurdles to overcome .
This school really is a very special place indeed so please can we ask you to join us in supporting this amazing school.
Thank you
With all our love
Team Alex
