Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My Mum passed away four years ago today waiting for a heart transplant and my son George also has a heart condition that will require support in the future. Yes, I haven’t run much further than 200 metres in my life but I need to honour and remember the incredible woman that my mum was (and is) and ensure George has the best chance for his future.

 Rhona Marsh who was beautiful, intelligent, fun loving and witty was a mum not just to me, my brother and sister but to many others. Over her life she cared for, loved and listened to many family members, friends and complete strangers. Anybody who met her couldn’t forget her as she innocently passed on her wisdom, strength and contagious laugh. I know that it is not just me that feels a great part of their life is now empty without her and for that reason I’m going to keep her memory alive by making sure that the £2,000 I raise will be used to support future generations and those currently suffering with heart disease.

 I would like to hope that those of you that knew my mum will support me over the coming months by either donating to my JustGiving fundraising page http://www.justgiving.com/AlexaBroude or giving me tips and/or  words of encouragement. 

Even though my mum isn’t physically here anymore more I know that she will be with me every step of the way giving me encouragement as she did when I spoke to her daily.

The pain of losing my mum is with me every day and I really want to try and help even just one more person/ family affected by the cruelty of heart disease.
