Age Cymru West Glamorgan is a local charity promoting well-being, helping people to age well and live independently.

Story

I will be doing a:
400m POOL SWIM
22km (13.67 miles) BIKE RIDE
3km (1.86 miles) RUN

I started my training three short weeks ago and feel I am coming on leaps and bounds.

I have put a lot into this already - bought a swim costume, goggles and nose clips and recently purchased a £200+ bike and additional cycling equipment. I am listing these things to show my commitment and dedication to completing the triathlon and in a good time - 100% of the donations will go to the charity.

I have raised money before but not for something like this! Safe to say I am scared!

I have chosen Age Cymru as my charity as I have seen first hand the work they can do. It's not great getting old, but having local Charities like Age Cymru can help ease that transition.

Age Cymru Swansea Bay is a vibrant, independent local charity who work at the heart of the community to meet the needs of older people.

They work collaboratively with over 70 partners, including the local health board, the local authority, other voluntary sector partners and the private sector.

Age Cymru give local people a national voice and ensure the needs of older people are heard by the Welsh Government.
