I'd like to encourage you to donate to this very worthy cause close to my heart. Depression Alliance has made all the difference in my continuous fight against depression.

More than 70% of recorded suicides are committed by people with depression. That could have been me, or could be someone you know, as 1 in 5 people will suffer from depression at some point in their lives.Support is everything and that's what Depression Alliance has done for me.

I've benefited directly from DA's support, and I know lots of other people living with depression who can testify to the same. Back in 2013 when I experienced one of the darkest periods of my life, I tried to end my life. A lot of the support I received came from Depression Alliance, and friends I had made through it. Following two hospitalisations, it was that support which helped me to pick up the pieces of my broken life, to continue the fight.

As part of my fundraising drive, I'll give away prizes to two lucky persons, who donate in this latest effort (2015). Winners will be chosen by random draw. Prizes are a copy of my fantasy novel The Return of the Key, and a gift from The Rock & Fossil Shop in Durham (thanks Colin!).

Once you donate, JustGiving will send your money directly to Depression Alliance and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
