We support people with learning disability to create the life they want to live.

Story

At 12 lunch time on the 24th October I will begin a running challenge. I will be running at least a mile every hour until I run my last mile at 12 lunch time the following day.
I have never taken on a challenge like this before. I will need to set my alarm so that I don’t miss any of the runs in the night (although I plan to stay awake) and I am going to use different routes and some different starting points to ensure I don’t get bored. I am hoping to complete a marathon during the challenge.
Whilst everyone else is enjoying their extra hour of sleep while the clocks go back I will be running an extra mile. The event is called a P25 (or P24 if I was doing it on any other day of the year).
I will be having many of the miles themed and I am asking people to come and run with me or suggest places local to Woking that I could run from – for a donation of course!
So if you want to choose the music I run to at 2am or you would like me to run a mile to and from your house let me know!
Select music for a specific hour suggested donation £5
Choose my outfit for a specific hour suggested donation £10
Run from a location you have chosen (within 5 miles of Woking town Centre) suggested donation £25.

I'm fundraising for LinkAble because of all the amazing work we do supporting children and adults with learning disabilities in Woking and the surrounding areas.  The staff team moved quickly to adapt to delivering digitally during lockdown and we were proud of the way we were able to begin delivering face to face services as soon as it was safe to do so.
