Please help us raise some funds for Gauchers Association, a cause that is close to the heart of our Company.

We are on a mission to get fit and healthy in 2018, and thought we could raise awareness and funds for Gauchers Association to help fund the research and find a cure for this disease.

What is Gaucher?
Gaucher Disease is a rare inherited disorder caused by a deficiency in a particular enzyme. It is estimated that approximately one in 40,000 to 60,000 people in the general population have Gaucher.

People with Gaucher disease lack sufficient activity levels of an enzyme called glucocerebrosidase. This enzyme helps the body break down worn-out cells and as a result of the enzyme deficiency, a fatty substance called glucocerebroside accumulates in the spleen, liver, bone marrow and sometimes in the central nervous system. 

Chris Bardoe’s daughter, Mia, is a type 3 sufferer with Gaucher, and whilst it is a tough condition to live with, she takes it into her stride and doesn’t let it rule her!
