My name is Alistair Macpherson and I am an Ultra Event Endurance athlete. On the 11/12th April I will be running around my home Island of Skye to raise funds for Cancer Research. In total I will cover 125 miles in under 35 hours. To date, nobody has ever run around Skye.

I first got the idea for the challenge after hearing about a fellow runner running around her home Island of Mull. I thought it would be a great challenge to attempt on my home Island of Skye. I have decided to raise money for Cancer Research because they are a very important charity who urgently need funds for the on-going battle against Cancer. Each new discovery brings fresh hope to sufferers and their families and adds to the life expectancy of many cancer patients.
