My beautiful daughter, Lily, suffered a stroke at the age of 4. She is now 6, her hard work and determination means she has recovered well. She still has mild weakness on her left hand side which affects her balance, and sometimes her walking, and her hand doesn't work too well, but she is full of smiles. Lily never complains about doing her physio, or attending all her appointments, she just gets on with it, and could teach us grown ups a thing or two for sure,

Before this, I had no idea children had strokes, and am guessing most people out there may not either.

So I have decided to run the Lowestoft Scores Race on Sunday September 14th, in order to raise awareness, and also funds towards a research project into childhood stroke. The scores is a unique race of 4.75 miles and 401 steps! It is run down the high street, along the sea wall and returning via the towns historic Scores, up one, down the next and so on. . . . . . . . .it is not an easy 4.75 miles, so please be confident that I will be tortured and fully deserving of any funds you pledge!!

Lily and her older brother Max will be running their own smaller version of the scores race on the same day as they were keen to raise funds too, 

so to help children like Lily, please sponsor us!!!!
