Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm running all 26.2 miles of the Brighton Marathon on Sunday 9th April 2017 for Battersea Dogs and Cats Home. Having run my 1st marathon last year I know this is going to be a huge physical and mental challenge . Training for a marathon is tough, time consuming and lonely. Clocking up all those miles I lost toe nails, the ability to get up and down stairs in a normal fashion, and to get in and out chairs without looking like an old lady, and finally my social life!
So why am I putting myself through it again? Firstly because of the amazing charity I have the privilege of running for. I was lucky enough to volunteer at Battersea so I have seen first hand the endless kindness and dedication of the staff, and the work they do for these abandoned and unwanted dogs and cats. I've seen heartbreaking stories turn out to have heartwarming endings. I've seen animals who should have no faith left in humankind give nothing but love, affection and loyalty.
So please help me to help Battersea carry on doing the amazing work they do. Anything you can spare will make a huge difference to the lives of these unwanted animals and help them on the path to their forever homes.
Thank you x
