Our swimming superstar is taking part in Swimathon 2020 - the World’s largest annual fundraising swim, aiming to swim 2,500m (1.55 miles!!!). Amelia successfully swam one mile last March at the age of eight; we couldn’t have been prouder of her or more grateful for the support she received.

Swimathon aims to raise funds and awareness for Cancer Research UK and Marie Curie, two causes very close to the hearts of both of our families. 

Cancer Research UK, the world’s leading cancer charity is dedicated to saving lives through research. They don’t receive any government funding for their work, so their progress is all thanks to the support of people like you.

Marie Curie provides expert care, guidance and support for people living with any terminal illness, and their families. Around 2,100 Marie Curie Nurses work day and night, in people’s homes all over the UK, providing hands-on care to people when they need it most. 

Amelia was due to attempt her 2,500m swim at the Sunderland Aquatic Centre on Sunday 22nd March. However due to current circumstances, this has now been postponed to 16th October 2020. Any donations would be greatly appreciated. Or if you’d like to come along to cheer her on, that would be just fabulous :-)
