Demelza aims to provide a supportive, non-judgemental service of excellence to children/young people with life limiting or life threatening conditions and their families and to enable equity of access for all children/young people with palliative care needs and their families. The North Pole Marathon is the only certified marathon that is run entirely 'on' water, the frozen water of the Arctic Ocean, recognised by Guinness World Records as the Northernmost Marathon on Earth. There have been 13 North Pole Marathons to date and approximately 400 people from 45 nations have sucessfully completed the event, hopefully I will be part of this group after the 9th April! The temperature will probably be around -30C but could be as cold as -60C like it was for the first NP marathon!
