Brathay 10in10 2022
Campaign by Brathay Trust (RCN 1021586)
The Brathay 10in10 sees runners tackle the route of the ASICS Windermere Marathon, every day for 10 consecutive days. It is considered one of the "UK's toughest running events".

Story

I am taking part for three main reasons.  To help raise some money for Brathay Trust to support their work helping kids make positive choices and engage in their communities, a personal challenge to see how far into the dark I can go and challenge myself (was trying not to be too dramatic there) and also meet the Fell running legend that is Joss Naylor.

Dom has just finished her degree in Sports Rehabilitation of the University of Cumbria and the students support the event and she gets the blame for showing me the work the Trust do and getting me interested in this wonderful event.  She has been really excited over the last two years and that was infectious.

The Trust's charitable work is underpinned by enterprising fundraising and our supporters’ commitment. We know that, enthused by the belief in the transformational power of people working together, you can help us make a positive difference. Work with us to transform the lives of young people. There are so many ways to help and discover the Brathay effect that is at the heart of everything we do.

We work with a wide range of young people, often with fewer opportunities in life, including those managing the transition from living in care to independence, at risk of exploitation in unhealthy relationships, needing confidence to find work or training, or facing other challenges in their lives.
