We are a brother and sister running a marathon each; Andy is running in Brighton on 9th April and Angela is running London two weeks later on 23rd April. She has run the Brighton Marathon twice before...yes, Andy will be trying to beat her time.

We are fundraising together for the Martlets Hospice, which cares for people living through a terminal illness in and around Brighton & Hove, providing end-of-life care for patients and also support for their families and friends.

This is a cause very close to our hearts as they looked after our mum before she died of pancreatic cancer in 2010. She spent a few weeks visiting the hospice and then, through the amazing 'Hospice at Home' service, was able to spend her final days in the comfort of her own home. The Martlets also gave brilliant practical and emotional support to our family, something we all would have struggled without.

The Martlets receives less than a third of their funding from the NHS and must raise almost £9,000 EVERY DAY to continue to provide this much-needed service to the local community.

Andy's employer, Liberty Specialty Markets, has also kindly agreed to match the first £1,000 of our total so we hope to get to that mark (and beyond)!
