Story
In November last year our friends six year old daughter was suddenly and unexpectedly admitted to Chester hospital. She had severe swelling all over her body and within days she was transferred to
Alder Hey Children's Hospital for specialist treatment. It was here she was diagnosed with a rare kidney condition.
She spent 8 weeks over Christmas on the renal ward receiving treatment and daily blood infusions. Despite being a traumatic time, the team at Alder Hey were so tailored to dealing with children that she now looks back on her time there fondly.
She has since been allowed home and is getting back to her new normal life. The treatment and care she received at Alder Hey
Hospital was incredible and is ongoing. Such care is only possible through acts of kindness and the people who donate towards it.
To help support future care, on the 1st July we'll be traveling up to Hadrian's Wall, and attempting to cover 48 miles of terrain in only 48 hrs.
Please donate if you can to help other children and families in need of
specialist care.
Thank you.
