Japan's most powerful earthquake since records began has now triggered a tsunami which is sweeping away cars, houses and even people - destroying everything in its wake.

Where we stand there is little we can do to stop a natural disaster like this from taking people's livelihoods. However, we can still provide aid and support if we look within our own pockets.
