Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Here's my story.......

Shortly before my birthday last year, we had the devastating news that our dear friends, Mim & Alex, were about to start emergency chemotherapy treatment with their beautiful 18month old daughter, Lizzy. And so their battle with the aggressive childhood cancer, Neuroblastoma, began.

There is very little you can do to help when the people you love are going through this unthinkable pain. And even less you can say or do when, only 6 months later, they lose their battle. I have never met a more bubbly, delightful little girl as Lizzy B, nor have I ever had such admiration for the strength and courage of our amazing friends.

Great Ormond Street Hospital is an outstanding place - not just the building and equipment, but the people within and the support it provides. Lizzy B and her family spent a lot of time there, as does our darling cousin William and his family. GOSHCC show so much love and care for those who need it most. Did you know, they look after 220,000 patient visits every year!

So, possibly during a mad moment, I have decided to do what I can to raise funds for this fantastic charity and cycle 100 miles across London and Surrey on 10th August this year. For those who know me, well, you'll either be laughing by now or re-reading this to make sure you got it right! Yes, 100 miles!! Yes, in one go!! Yes, I am mad (and scared), but I think I can do it!!

So please, PLEASE, do YOUR bit and make a donation to this worthy cause! Knowing that we've all dug deep will really help get me round that course on the day. It will mean the world to me, to cousin William, to all those kids who need Great Ormond Street, and to Angel Lizzy, who I know will be smiling down on the day, enjoying the ride!

Thank you x x x
