Story
From 26th Feb to 2nd March, we are going to do the 'live below the poverty line' challenge to raise money for the Cardinal Hume Centre. For five days we'll be living off £1 a day each for all our food and drink. That's just £5 each for the week. No more of Jon's deliciously cooked dinners. No more tastily prepared packed lunches. Not even a sly cup of tea will be allowed.
Why?
We want to raise money and awareness for the brilliant Cardinal Hume Centre, a charity helping families and young people overcome poverty and homelessness. The Centre provides a non-judgemental welcome and a stable and safe environment for people in need to seek help and support. They provide skills training, legal support and advice, accommodation, tech lessons, cooking classes, language classes, homework clubs, a food bank, clothes and hot meals. They are an amazing charity that goes above and beyond to help break cycles of poverty and provide comfort and support to those in need. And with the rise of homelessness and food banks constantly making new headlines, we want to support them as much as possible.
So go on... donate a little...
