I'm doing the 3 Peaks Challenge on the 31st May for Build Africa because I want to help support a primary school in Uganda · 31 May 2014

Build Africa believe in the power of education to help end poverty. We work to give children the education they need and fight the inequalities that stand in their way.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Build Africa is a fantastic charity that facilitates education for local communities in Africa. They have funded a number of projects across Kenya and Uganda in recent years which have given children access to education.

Being fortunate enough to teach in a well resourced school, we would like to share this good fortune with our partner school in Uganda. Kooki Primary School  was initially set up in 2011 with temporary shelters and extremely limited resources. With the help of Build Africa, there are now nearly 250 children on role with 3 classroom blocks. However, much still needs to be done in order to give all pupils passing through Kooki’s doors a chance to obtain a decent education both now and in the future.

To facilitate training new teachers and allowing the school to continue to offer a good education to as many children as possible, we have decided to take part in the National 3 Peaks Challenge.

The Challenge takes place on 31st May 2014 and consists of climbing the three highest mountains in Britain: Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon... in 24 hours! We would really appreciate any donations that you are able to make towards this worthwhile cause.
