Today Archie and some friends are running a spur of the moment 20kg weighted marathon, with Archie raising funds for the Butterfly AVM Charity.

The Butterfly AVM Charity is the first specific AVM charity in the UK. An AVM is an arteriovenous malformation whereby an abnormal bundle of arteries and veins tangle together and disrupt blood supply and organ circulation. When an AVM forms in the brain, the blood vessels can weaken and rupture leading to bleeding in the brain which can have fatal consequences. 

The Butterfly AVM Charity aims to help the lives of AVM sufferers and their families by offering advice and information on who to turn to for help. Any funds raised are used for research to understand and be able to cure this condition.By raising awareness and funding the charity hopes to continue to find further breakthroughs with this disease.
