Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit Team ASNet's JustGiving page.

Who are Team ASNet? Denise Brown, Pete Croney, Steve Lock, Tony Griffiths, Jac Mills, Toni Saunders, Michael Saunders.

The Challenge:  To cycle from Chelmsford to Paris in 3 days (27-29 August 2015). That's 320 miles, on very skinny tyres, a very hard saddle and over a very hilly route.  This is a first for us all and it will be our toughest cycling challenge to date.

Our aim: to raise funds for a small arthritis self-help charity based in East London.  The Arthritis Self-Help Network (www.arthritis-selfhelp.org) is run completely by volunteers and receives no funding. Every penny they get is spent on their projects and our aim is to raise enough money for them to build a disabled friendly allotment in the grounds of their new headquarters.

We have each paid £850 to cover all of the organisational costs so every penny you pledge will go to the charity.

We have the wheels, we have the lycra, we have the determination - now we just need your cash to motivate us!  Thank you for supporting Team ASNet.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. About the charity

Our aim is to promote better physical and mental health for anyone suffering with one or more of the 200 different types of arthritis and their carers, through a network of self-help and therapeutic groups; promoting education and raising awareness about arthritis.
