Story

Welcome

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.As many of you may know, I am planning to go away with VSO in September for 6 months. I am going as part of Global Xchange (http://www.vso.org.uk/globalxchange/). The Global Xchange programme is a six-month exchange programme which gives young people from different countries a unique opportunity to work together, to develop and share valuable skills and to make a practical contribution where it is needed in local communities.

Remember this is a charity, and i will be doing voluntary work. This is by no means a holiday!

The Plan

I plan to raise money by doing a killer challenge:

Cycle from John O'Groats to Land End - I will be cycling from the northernly most point of mainland UK (John O'Groats in Scotland) all the way down to the most southernly point of the UK (Lands End in Cornwall, England). We will be cycling every day untill we reach our target! - Intense stuff + Saddle Sores!!

I hope you find this challenge worth sponsoring me for, as i know that it is going to take alot of hard work, and determination to achieve my goal! I will keep you all posted as to how things are coming along, Any News, keep checking for updates!!

Updates!

I have just come back from my ITC (introductory Training Course) in Birmingham and i now have the locatuions of my exchange!!

My UK phase will be in Caithness - Scotland, so i will be living with a host home up there, and doing voluntary work there (unsure of exactly what that will be yet!) then i will travel down to London after 3 months up north.

The second phase will take place in BANGLADESH! After my 3 days in London (for MPR - mid phase review) i will be off to Bangladesh, It will be in or around the Chittagong area! (which means im near the worlds longest beach - Cox's Bazar!! - 120km long!) I will be living with a host home here as well, and doing voluntary work here as well (but again, unsure of exactly what yet!)

Raffle Numbers Introduced! - For Every pound you donate, you get 1 raffle number. So the more you donate, the more likely it is that you will win the prize!! There are a few prizes, and i am currentlly working on getting some more!! the draw will take place closer to departure time!! So good Luck and get Donating :P!!

Dates have been set!! - I will be leaving Cardiff on the 12th of August, to head up to Scotland to start on the epic journey! My mother will be driving a campervan and going off during the day and meeting in the evening to go to sleep (save on accomodation) and we will keep going until we get there!!

JOB DONE!! - I have completed the mission! I rolled into Lands End at 1:30pm on the 15th day of cycling!! Thanks to everybody who has supported me in which ever way they have, especially all those people who have sponsored me!! Unfortunatly i am still slightly short of the target so I am still looking for sponsors to try reach the target of £600!

Thanks once again to everybody, it is very much appreciated!!
