Story
Being diagnosed with thyroid cancer was a major shock to me. This last year has been spent recovering from a thyroidectomy and neck dissection. I will be on medication for the rest of my life. own. However, I’m a glass half full person and intend to get on with life. My treatment has been excellent and I appreciate I will never be fully normal again (never was anyway 😂). I’m walking the West Highland Way which is from Milngavie, near Glasgow to Fort William to raise funds for the British Thyroid Association (BTF). The BTF supports thousands of people across the UK living with thyroid disorders. The BTF funds vital research into thyroid disease. As well as my own personal thyroid issues, Hypothyroidism also affects other close members of my family. So please if you can, consider making a wee donation to this well deserving charity.
