 I have been lucky in being selected to take part in Queesnferry Crossing Experience a once in a lifetime experience that only 50,000 people will do before the bridge opens to traffic only.  It is such a unique opportunity and I would like to use this experience to raise money for the RCN Foundation.

Every day, thousands of people rely on the care of nurses, midwives and healthcare professionals.  The RCN Foundation gives vital support back to these caring professionals.  The Foundation safeguards nurses in need to their lives back on track, invest in nursing care and support learning and development for nursing staff.

More than every The Foundation's work needs our support.  Through my work with the RCN I see examples of nurses in need daily.  The Foundation ensures that nurses going through hardship are supported.

Here is how your money can make a difference:

• £5 can support a retired nurse with her weekly heating bill.
• £10 can cover transport costs for a nurse attending monthly hospital appointments.
• £15 can help pay for financial advice for a nurse fleeing domestic violence.
