Story

This page is dedicated to my late father Philip John Barker who passed away 13th October 2009. To commemorate 10 years my Wife Alice and I will be fundraising for the RLKPA with selected events throughout the year. My dad Phil was diagnosed with kidney failure in 1982 and following this had 2 successful kidney transplants in 1986 & again in 2003.

This charity is hugely important for renal patients and the support it gives to families like mine. He spent the best part of 10 years running the St Barts Hospital team and competing at the British Transplant Games alongside fundraising.

My wife Alice and I will be taking part in the following events to fundraise for the RLKPA and increase awareness for organ donation and giving blood.

Sunday14th July- Mersea Island sprint Triathlon - complete

Saturday 27th July - 5k donor run at the British Transplant Games - complete

Sunday 25th August- Mersea Island 5 & 10 mile road race - complete

TBC in October fundraising Quiz night - postponed

Thank you for visiting this page,

Lewis and Alice
