Jane Tomlinson 10k Leeds · 20 July 2014

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

Still bathing in the glory of my first half marathon in London last October with that great photo on a beautiful day. Still - must move onwards as more money is needed as stroke research is still underfunded. So getting my little legs working again.

In fact have already done the first race of the 4 - the 10k  at Harewood House. This was a 'trail' race in March so mud, puddles, hills and rain. The 3 to come must be easier - Leeds Jane Tomlinson 10k for 8th year running (well obviously), Eccup 10 mile - which is horrendous and also on the Sunday before the Jane run. Then climaxing with the  Abbey Dash 10k in November. Hence 4 for the price of 1!

No half marathon this year as no-one daft enough to train and run with me and I am a social runner. I was also getting just too attached to the nipple cream!
Currently traumatised after a nasty and embarrassing fall running down hill so need all the encouragement I can get to start training again.
And just to show how technically 'with it' I am you can now text an amount to 70070 and in the message put BHOP71 followed by the amount - like £20!!
