Battle to Bruges
Fundraising for Evelina London Children's Charity
Story
Stuart Mathieson, Paul Matthews, Mike Nolan and Dominic Compagnone are cycling from Battle in East Sussex to Bruges (Belgium). They are leaving from the Abbey at midday on 6:9:19 and hope to arrive just over 24 hours later!
The aim is to raise as much money as possible for the cardiology department of Evelina Children’s Hospital where Theodore had life saving open heart surgery last March.
The Cardiology Kids goal is to bring together 150 Cardiology families to raise £150,000 for the Cardiology Team as a legacy of the 150th birthday of the Evelina London Children's Hospital. £150,000 is a massive target but with 150 families on board, we can achieve it easily!
The money raised by The Cardiology Kids goes straight into the Children's Heart Fund at the Evelina and it is ring-fenced specifically for Cardiology care priority needs under the direction of Dr Bell, Head of Service for Paediatric Cardiology. Basically, it hits the NHS front line where it makes a difference and helps fund the medical equipment for children with poorly hearts.
