Story
As part of the 2.6 challenge to raise money for charities across the UK. I am taking on my own challenge to raise money for Saltmine Trust. A theatre company I have worked with for nearly 10 years.
I am attempting to run, walk or crawl (if needed) up and down the stairs in my house starting at 26 times from today the 26th April in the fastest time I can. Then for one whole week I am going to increase the amount of times I go up and down the stairs each day by 8, 2+6. Therefore finishing on the 3rd May by going up and down the stairs 82 times (what!!) HELP!
I am rather UNFIT so this is going to be a big challenge but one I believe is important to raise awareness of charities and in particular Saltmine Trust. Please consider supporting us so that we can continue to share theatre with a message. From educating young people in a creative way on the dangers of knife crime, domestic abuse and internet safety to putting on a passion play in the centre of Birmingham what Saltmine does matters and has a lasting positive effect on lives.
Like so many charities (and theatre companies) across the UK Saltmine have been drastically impacted by COVID-19. The ban on mass gatherings, shut down of schools and loss of fundraising income impacts all our work and leaves us with an uncertain future.
