The Ben Nevis Push 2019!
Campaign by Back Up (RCN 1072216)
Back Up are taking the Snowdon Push to Ben Nevis - our 4 incredible teams are aiming to conquer the highest mountain in the British Isles and raise £50,000.

Story

To follow on from the bungee jump I did last year to mark the 10th anniversary of my accident and to help celebrate my imminent leap to level 4, I thought the Ben Nevis challenge would fit perfectly. After taking part in the Snowdon Push back in 2011, I have been waiting for an opportunity to take part in a similar event closer to home. Ben Nevis ticks all the boxes and my friends and I are now slightly older although perhaps not much wiser to the challenge that lies ahead of us. My team consists of some of Scotland's finest drinkers, smokers, vagabonds and delinquents and after months of intense training we are really to take on the challenge of the mighty Nevis.

The Backup Trust is an incredible charity that has provided me with a number of opportunities to continue with outdoor activities that I thought previously impossible after my accident in 2008.  I have also met a number of inspirational people through Backup who have given me the support, confidence and determination to live an active and full life.

All donations large or small are greatly appreciated and I thank you for all the kind and very generous donations that we have received so far.

Many thanks

Andrew
