Hello there! We're going to be running, jumping, and falling over 5k worth of inflatables on 14th May! Sounds like fun right? But we're not just doing this for fun...
Catie's best friend Hannah suffers from the awful and often misunderstood condition of CFS/ME. CFS/ME has no standard diagnostic test, there is currently no cure, and it is often met with scepticism even from some of the medical community, which can be extremely demoralising for patients. It is estimated that some 250,000 people suffer from the condition in the UK alone. Ben and Catie would both like to raise awareness about the condition, and raise as much money as they can towards the important research into the condition.
CFS stands for chronic fatigue syndrome. ME stands for myalgic encephalomyelitis. Myalgic means muscle aches or pains, and Encephalomyelitis means inflammation of the brain and spinal cord. If you'd like to learn more about ME and Hannah's story, you can head over to her blog (it's well worth a read!). Here's the link: http://superpooped.blogspot.co.uk
