My name is Benjamin Morrison, an Air Cadet from Chichester High School CCF and a student on the Air Cadet Junior Leaders' Course. Whilst on the course, students are encouraged to fundraise for the John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation.
The John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation (JTYAF) was set up in memory of John Thornton who was tragically killed in Afghanistan in 2008. The JTYAF supports young people from a wide range of youth organisations providing them with scholarships and bursaries to support their personal development and the pursuit of their ambitions.
John Thornton was named top student on the challenging Air Cadet Junior Leaders’ Course and later was invited to become an instructor at Junior Leaders, inspiring a number of cadets to apply for and succeed on what has become known as the Air Cadet Organisation’s toughest course.
On April 1st, I will be attempting to cycle 200 miles around the county of West Sussex. To add a challenge to this, I will be trying to complete this distance in 24 hours.
