The whole world has been following the story of 5 year old Ben Williams, who is being treated for a brain tumour at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham on a £3m machine funded by the hospital charity.
With the permission of Ben's family we want to give people the opportunity to help us help more children like Ben.
When treating cancer using radiotherapy, especially in children, it is important to target the tumour as accurately as possible and leaving as much healthy tissue alone as possible.
TomoTherapy, the machine Ben was treated on, scans and treats at the same time. This means we can more accurately treat the tumour in each treatment.
Cutting edge machines like TomoTherapy and CyberKnife, have been funded by the hospital charity and we want to do so much more.
If you have been inspired by #BensWorldCup please help us help even more children by donating.
Thank you from all of us at the hospital.
