I've targetted running a half-marathon for a few years now, but not quite got around to it. The longest I've run training before is 10 miles, and the idea of adding an extra three and a bit to that is a little daunting. I mean, really, who runs for over an hour and a half just for the fun of it? Isn't that what cars were invented for?
Still, I've committed to this one, and I've got a nice little Excel spreadsheet (I do like my Excel spreadsheets!) with my training plan on, and so far, I've ticked off every training run, which is quite an achievement for me.
For those of you who don’t know much about MS you’re lucky, as that probably means you don’t know someone who suffers from it. MS affects over 100,000 people in the UK. It is a disabling condition which in the progressive form, leaves the sufferer completely immobile, incapable of doing even the smallest of physical task for themselves. It’s a cruel disease, and truly heart breaking for those who both suffer from it and their loved ones.
