Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Open Doors is working in over 50 countries to provide vital aid and long-term support to Christians who are being persecuted because of their beliefs. By donating to my cause you can show these suffering believers that they aren’t alone, and provide them with the support they need.
I will be travelling to South Korea in October to run a marathon in the north of South Korea. I have never attempted something so physically and financially demanding, but also have never found a cause I would ever consider doing this for. Open Doors is inspiring in their dedication to justice for those who have no rights to practice their faith, and put themselves in risky situations to provide this aid. I will be raising money in particular to help those who are being persecuted in North Korea, and will also be spending a week praying and spending time with those who have escaped from North Korea due to dangers they face for choosing to follow Jesus.
Your money can help support the church in North Korea by providing emergency relief aid (medicines, clothes and food - Open Doors is currently feeding 60,000 people in North Korea), training through radio broadcasting and by distributing books and other Christian materials.
It can also help support North Korean believers in China (who usually travel back to North Korea) by providing shelter, aid, training and training materials.

Any donation is gratefully received, and thank you for all who will be supporting me throughout these next crazy 10 months.
P.s. for any of those who are interested I have a lot more details about what's lead me to this decision to run this marathon, and am so open to sharing more details about what's lead me to committing to this!
