My Great Tommy Sleep Out for RBLI

Bethany Stott is raising money for Royal British Legion Industries

RBLI's The Great Tommy Sleep Out 2023 · 31 March 2023

It's cold, it's dark, it's wet. Can you last the night? During the month of March, we are challenging you to join The Great Tommy Sleep Out. Sleep outside for one night to fundraise for RBLI and raise awareness for homeless ex-servicemen and women.

Story

Myself and 13 other student midwives of Sunderland University are swapping our beds for a sleeping bag to raise vital funds and awareness for over 6000 veterans that are experiencing homeless in the UK right now.

With every penny raised, Royal British Legion Industries can provide safe, warm housing and ensure everyone has a fair opportunity to gain employment, regardless of health conditions or disability.

Please help us to raise much needed funds for this incredible cause. The sleep out will take place on Friday 31st March at Penshaw monument. Any support or donations will be greatly appreciated and will help go towards supporting those in need. The challenge doesn't replicate rough sleeping, but it does give you an idea of the situation too many of the nation's heroes find themselves in.

The people taking part in the event are listed below-

Bethany Stott, Claire Harrison, Emily Currah, Harriet Weatherley, Kate Soley, Kim McMahon, Laura Paxton, Lisa Callander, Lucy Hannant, Megan Jones, Mel Mateus, Nicola Bamling, Rhianne Henderson, Terri Jolly.

Thank you!
