Betty, of East Grinstead, passed away on 13th February.

Hard working Mum to Claire, Denise and Stephen, she also leaves 9 grandchildren, plus 4 great grandchildren and is sadly missed by us, her brother Edward and wider family and friends. After 24 years, finally following her late husband Chris Bennett (Woodgate Dairy/Felbridge CC). Mum, you finally got through your nine lives and probably a few more, thank you for everything.

Mum was passionate about caring for cats, in fact, there are probably more photos of the cats in her life than of us kids (some of which are posted on the gallery above)!  She took in many a stray and befriended most cats that strayed through her garden!  Their company meant the world to her, so she would have been very happy that people support the work of Cats Protection in her memory. The charity do great work in looking after homeless or poorly cats, and helping find them loving owners to foster or adopt them.
