I'm taking on the daunting challenge of my first half marathon this September. As motivation to keep me training in the cold, dark and rain I'm also fundraising for an amazing charity and really important cause - Mind in the City, Hackney and Waltham Forest.

One in four of us in the UK experience poor mental health every year. 2020 was really tough for everyone but even more so for people struggling with their mental health. Over half of adults and more than two thirds of young people said their mental health got worse during the first lockdown. We're now in our third... I'm sure that, like me, many people are finding this one the toughest yet.

Mind in the City offers essential support and services to members of the community who are struggling daily with their mental health. As an example of where your money would go, £25 could pay for a low-income client with serious enduring mental health issues to attend a support group.
