A number of Blackpool Council staff are signing up to run/jog/walk the Great North West Half Marathon, held in Blackpool on 18th February 2018, to help raise money for this year's Mayor's charity - The Blackpool Carers Centre.

Famous, following the recent TV revamping of their HQ on Newton Drive, the Blackpool Carers centre provides a wide range of vital support to help:

-Children and young people who have family caring responsibilities,
-Parents with children who have special needs,
-Adult carers of partners with mental health issues, Alzheimer's or other Dementia.

In the team so far, we have Helen Atkinson (Team Captain), Amy Robinson, Tracy Greenhalgh, Gary Smith, Andy Divall, Steve Thompson and Rachael Slater.
