The Funding for the Future campaign is the final phase of the Appeal, which has already seen us successfully complete our Extension to East Grinstead.

When this Appeal was launched in 2009 the target was £4 Million.  By the time this page launched in April 2011 the outstanding target was the £2.5 Million shown here.  Thanks to the magnificent support of our own members, major donors, visitors to the railway and members of the public, we had both paid for and opened the East Grinstead extension in March 2013, by which time the remaining total to raise was just £500,000, to help preserve our infrastructure and unique collection of rolling stock for the future.

Already we have raised the £42,000 required to repair and extend the 130-year-old canopy on Platform 1 at Sheffield Park Station back to its original size.  We now have a target of £400,000 for our "Keep Up The Pressure" boiler appeal.  More details of what we are currently raising funds for are available here.

The funds raised through this page are thus now being applied to the Funding for the Future appeal, as the final part of the Bluebell Railway Trust's "50th Anniversary Appeal". The appeal web site shows other ways you can donate or help, including US donors who are able to take advantage of our 510(C)(3) affiliation with The American Fund for Charities.
