We provide specialist care and support to people with life limiting illnesses.

Story

In spite of not being able to meet in person, Bostock Singers have had a very busy year. Since the first lockdown, we have continued to meet via Zoom under the amazing directorship of Nicola Howbrigg.

Before Christmas 2020, we decided to put together a video of our favourite Christmas song in the hope of raising much needed funds for the local charity St. Luke's (Cheshire) Hospice.  This year, still unable to get together, we have decided to do it again!

Our amazing team, including Nicola, Alison Richards and Andy Martell have worked their magic yet again to produce our version of 'Let The River Run'. This song was originally written and sung by Carly Simon. It is featured in the 1988 movie 'Working Girl'. Bostock Singers were lucky enough to perform this together on the stage at Venue Cymru in Llandudno during the North Wales Choral Festival in 2019.

We hope you enjoy our version of 'Let The River Run' and if you are able to make a donation, all money raised will go to St. Luke's (Cheshire) Hospice. Thank you.

Since 1988, St Luke’s has been providing palliative care to local people, supporting them in ways which go beyond the scope and funding of the NHS. Last year they supported over 1,000 local people with a huge range of support from end of life care on the ward to supporting carers, and from helping children cope with grief to helping patients return to work after an illness. They are a charity and provide all their care for free, so they rely on the generosity and commitment of their supporters to raise more than 80% of their costs.
