Story

Every year Salvation Army churches across the United Kingdom work with social services and other organisations to provide Christmas hampers and gifts to families and children in need across the country.  Bourne Salvation Army in one such church and this year the need is greater than ever.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, families are struggling financially and are concerned about the coming months.  Parents are worried that they will not be able to give their children a gift on Christmas Day, nor have any way to celebrate the birth of Christ.

Due to the current restrictions, Bourne Salvation Army is unable to accept gifts and food donations as both our church building and shops are closed.  For this reason we are asking our community if they would be able to support us with financial contributions so that we are able to purchase food and gifts for families in need this Christmas.  All donations to this Just Giving page will be used to support families in the local area of Bourne and the surrounding villages.

If you are able to make a donation to our appeal, it would be so gratefully received.  With your help we will ensure that families in need this Christmas receive a gift of joy and love so that they too can celebrate with their families.
