NHS Charities Together and its members across the UK are hugely grateful for the support received from so many since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Story

We are the RAF Fire and Rescue Service based at Brize Norton and on Saturday 2nd May, we will climb the height of Mount Everest on a 10.5 metre ladder.

That’s a height of 8,848 metres and we will be wearing approximately 25kg of fire kit.

We are tackling this challenge in order to raise money for NHS staff and volunteers who are doing amazing work right now in caring for COVID-19 patients. The event will commence at 08:00 and we will aim to finish as soon as possible.

Together, let's show our respect and gratitude as they work tirelessly in the face of the virus. It's our turn to make sure we look after them, to ensure they can keep doing their vital work.

Stay at home, protect the NHS and save lives.
