Story

On 15th May 2007 I was the victim of a hit and run in Manchester City centre when I was hit by a car travelling at 50mph, my head smashed the windscreen causing me to spend 16 days in a coma. A long struggle followed but I never wanted to be a victim or somebody that people felt sorry for so always did my best to remain positive. I found exercise to have a positive effect and began taking part in running events 5k, 10k before completing the Great North Run half marathon in 2012. This was a massive achievement I have repeated it every year since and you have all been immensely generous donating money to my cause. This year I wanted to challenge myself again even more so I will be running the Great North Run in September and The Yorkshire Marathon in October!

I will be affected by my brain injury for the rest of my life, although it has improved hugely I still suffer fatigue, cognitive problems and double vision I am writing this with one eye closed! Come on that deserves a sponsor!
